Waiting waiting…
With so much coastline to explore it was time to leave the comforts of South Nicaragua & get back on the road…destination North Nicaragua. Definitely one of the funniest journeys I have ever made. Girl Time
First stop on the three month trip was the beautiful South Nicaragua, where I met Rosary and we caught up with SaltyLip’s crew member India. We stayed in a vibrant little fishing village surrounded by some of Nicaragua’s best beach & point breaks…the perfect first stop for the trip. Apart from the mildly excessive drinking on my part in the first week during Semana Santa (Easter), it was more like a fitness bootcamp….over two hours a day walking to and from the surf breaks, yoga, and India’s amazing healthy cooking and mind blowing smoothies. Beachie playtime.
After nearly four years working in London, I cannot explain the excitement I felt about doing this trip…itchy feet is an understatement. Three months in Central America and Mexico…unadulterated surf, sun and beach side living! Having spent two weeks in El Salvador in October, it cemented the notion that this was the next trip I would do. Not easy living like a lot of Indonesia, it offered a totally different experience, and some insane waves. Continue reading
