Mexico Sessions Uno

Good waves, rank food and befriending strays

Whilst I was digging sea urchin spines out of my foot in El Salvador, Rosary was scoring super fun waves in Mexico.

Straight off a 26 hour bus journey from El Salvador she had bumped into an Irish friend Liam, purchased a second hand tent and began her exploration of the Mexican coastline with him and a couple of Norwegians.  Once settled, Rosary befriended a local stray dog, Luna. A particularly quirky, bedraggled looking dog (I had the pleasure of meeting her a month later), Rosary tried to cut Luna’s overgrown toenails and gave her a tea tree bath in an attempt to cure her mange. This is totally normal behaviour on Rosary’s part…I’m surprised we are not travelling with an adopted stray dog already. Camping on the beach, managed by two totally baked locals and eating disgusting, greasy food, Rosary scored some great waves and returned to meet me surfed out and happy.
