Barrels, Friends, and More Barrels
Getting some shade.
After two months of radio silence on an Indonesian Island, Rosary finally reappeared for just long enough to share her surf stories and photos before heading off again to another spot. And it certainly looks like she has been having all the fun! After leaving the cold waters of Ireland she returned to some of her favourite Indo waves, catching up with SaltyLips’ crew member Shannon, along with some old friends, and collecting a few new ones.

Among these new characters were the “biggest legends” Brazilian Sergio and his son Renan. This had been their first trip to Indo and Sergio decided to put down roots and live their permanently, buying a little boat to go exploring. “Last I heard it sank and the engine and roof were broken” – Rosary. We have Sergio to thank for all the awesome water shots!!

Fuelled by enough over-cooked veggies, fried eggs and rice to last an entire lifetime, Rosary got some great waves, hit the reef a LOT sustaining plenty of cuts and bruises, and was munched on a daily basis by hordes of mozzies. It was all worth it for the barrel time … as we can see!!!
