Good waves, rank food and befriending strays
Whilst I was digging sea urchin spines out of my foot in El Salvador, Rosary was scoring a beachie up north of Puerto Escondido.
Straight off a 26 hour bus journey from El Salvador she had bumped into an Irish friend in Puerto Escondido, Mexico and within two hours had hitched a ride with him and a group of Norwegians to check out a spot further north. Befriending a local stray, Luna, Rosary tried to cut her overgrown toenails and gave her a tea tree bath in an attempt to cure her mange. This is totally normal behaviour on Rosarys part…I’m surprised we are not travelling with an adopted stray dog already. Camping on the beach, managed by two totally baked locals and eating disgusting, greasy food, Rosary scored some great waves and returned to Puerto surfed out and happy.
